The Spinning Disk Analyzer is a GUI application that is intended to be used in the lab in order to analyze a series of images acquired from a “spinning disk” microscope. It processes those images, performing steps such as background correction and cell segmentation, to ultimately determine the cell density as a function of shear stress. It automates the image chain, but lets the user adjust critical parameters by hand after visual inspection of the intermediate results. The package may also be used as a Python library to script the image analysis.
